~Been a long time~

It has been a long time since I have posted anything. I have been pretty bad with this oops/

Life has been a wee bit nutty lately what with my schedule being changed for 3 1/2 weeks while my boss is out of the country.

Mr S. got laid off again indefinitely. Chrysler's bankruptcy caused 75% of the people he works with to get laid off. It is a bummer but we have to just keep plugging along.

Hopefully I will keep up with this soon.

Happy Birthday Mr S.

Happy 32nd Birthday. I realized today you have been part of my life for almost a 1/4 of yours now.

Someone make it stop...

Well Eric's doctor called the other day and things may not be too great. He has to go see a cardiologist next Wednesday at 9:30. There was something in the echo that they did not like. Now I don't know how much the doctor told my husband because I wasn't home when he got the call but I am worried as all heck about him. I know he's had his murmur for almost 32 years and if he needs some kind of heart surgery he is a young man and wil be better able to bounce back than an older person would.

The thing is I have been through the heart surgery wait and worry with 3 of my 4 grandparents and I just hate to think that I may have to do that with my husband.

Gotta continue to think positively but I am scared as hell.

Got Stress?

Well today was Eric's Stress test and Echocardiogram. I have to give the hospital kudos for the 2 tests starting right on time, but boo to whoever scheduled them 2 hours apart. The stress test was 1st and only took about 1/2 an hour so of course we got to sit in a waiting room for an hour and a half and got to see infomercials and religious programming. Not really my idea of great fun at 7:30 in the morning. I don't for sure how long it will be before Eric's doctor has the results and we know what if anything will need to be done.

I am cautiously optimistic that everything is going to be just fine. Just have to not think about the waiting.

So far this week has been going ok but it is only Tuesday.

In better news as my mother said today when I saw her 17 more days until Florida. I am ready for some hopefully warmer weather.I just have to get my bags packed and my car cleaned out of anything we don't need in there.

Monday, Monday

{sarcasm} Oh how I love Mondays.{/sarcasm}
Ok so now that we've determined that I am not all that fond of Mondays, I can say that so far today hasn't really been too bad.

The groundhogs, both the big guy in PA and the one up in Howell, Mi, Predicted 6 more weeks of winter this morning. Um yeah spring pretty much officially begins in about 6 weeks. Go figure.

Tomorrow is Eric's stress test and ekg. I am so ready for that to be over. We have to be at the hospital at 7am, the 2nd test is scheduled for 9 am. Tomorrow is going to be a long day but hopefully everything is going to be good news.We certainly could use some right now.

Stupid Economy

I guess I was a little to hasty in being glad yesterday was Friday.
My husbands truck has been not running right and I had to go and pick him up at work last night. He was laid-off from his job for at least a couple of weeks again. The shop he works for was already running really light crew and anybody who didn't get called back from the holiday shutdown back in December no longer has a job there.

I hate the company he works for but now with his truck messed up it is going to be that much harder for him to search for a job with my work hours. I am at work form 11am until 7pm and with where we live and my gym habit I am out of the house from about 7:30am until 8:30 pm each day.

Thank goodness he got his unemployment from the holidays finally straightened out.

I really wish something would happen to make things better for our economy but nothing can happen overnight (at least not to the good).Heres hoping that his job does call him back soon.

TGIF!

Thank God it's Friday has never been a more correct statement this week. It has been a long week and I am looking forward to relaxing a little bit this weekend.

Eric and I were invited to a Superbowl party so we may go to that. I have to run it by him. Either way relaxation is long overdue this weekend. With the stress test and EKG coming up on Tuesday I think Eric and I both just need some rest.

Of course as I say that there is housework to be done and grocery shopping to do but I guess those can fit into a relaxation scheme for the weekend.

I think now that his tests draw nearer I am calming down quite a bit about it. I have started thinking in the perspective that if the doctor had any major causes for concern he wouldn't have scheduled the tests 2 weeks out.

I can say this week has been a bit more free of the calamity that the last couple weeks seemed to be bringing us and considering I go to Florida with my family in 3 weeks I would be very happy for things to stay calmer :)
